Brenda is a registered dietitian and the president of ScaleDown Publishing, Inc.. She is also the author of two award-winning cookbooks, as well as camera ready masters including Spanish and English menus, recipes and educational materials.
Recognition Brenda has received include the American Dietetic Association’s Mary Abbott Hess Award and the Award of Merit from the Oregon Dietetic Association. Her cookbooks have received much praise including the Benjamin Franklin "Book of the Year" Award and the Benjamin Franklin silver medal for Best Cookbook.
Brenda has extensive experience in nutrition and diabetes counseling and she is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and the American Diabetes Association.
As a medical professional and teacher, Brenda has specialized in helping people develop healthful, lifelong eating habits.
